Romania full of horses
Hundreds of unwanted horses have been left to roam the streets and parks of Romania’s major cities after an EU law which bans horse-drawn carts from main roads.

My dear old Grandmother aged 95 has passed away. She was the wife of a Rag and Bone man. Her dying wish was to be taken to the Crematorium on his Horse and Cart but EU Law forbids it.So it`s about time we withdrew from this Kindergarten called the EU and joined the adults World.

We should have “cart” defined, were does this leave our horse drawn carraiges, which are part of costal towns and large city pleasure trips?? CONTROL,CONTROL, CONTROL Why?

So what is the penalty for driving a horse and cart on a main road? If I had either, I might try it and see. So many of these laws are unenforceable surely. After all, are the police going to stop the cart, impound his vehicle etc? The same argument was raised against the fox-hunting ban - how were the police going to arrest the huntsmen without making provision for the safekeeping of their hounds, horses etc. Carry on carting. It’s ludicrous so ignore it.
