I could say “EU Bans driving faster then 12MPH on motorways after 12pm” — its just as genuine as your garbage without the links in each post.

There’s definitely a need for people to keep watch over their institutions and point out absurdities and abuses of power - so I look forward to following your blog.

But please make sure every single post is properly sourced and contains links to the directives in question! If possible, also highlight the relevant article and maybe provide background and context. It might mean you can’t post every single day, but one well-sourced and argued post a week will pack much more punch than one poorly argued pieces of hearsay a day.

There is a real need for a vigilant citizen watchdog (and I hope this is what you are aiming for), but there is no need for propaganda.

And don’t take things out of context or make things into bigger stories than they are. You undermine your own arguement if you try to find absurdities where they don’t exist. Nobody will believe you, and when you do find something genuinely absurd, people will think you’re crying wolf.

This post, for example, has the headline “Farmer Giles banned from using combine harvester”

And then, when you click on the headline, it says:

“An EU law bans British farmers from using their combine harvesters on wet soil”

The body of the post is as short as the bloody headline! And it doesn’t add any new information. Which EU law are you talking about? Provide a link. People won’t believe you unless you provide a source.
